Accurate Home Care (@AccurateHmCare) like many companies asks its employees for feedback. We do it twice a year and one of the questions asked is whether our employees believe AHC has improved its follow through with communication. For instance, we ask these questions, but what do we do with the answers?
We listen, and when something is of interest to many of our employees, we explore how we can act upon it. One example is that nearly one-third of responding employees told us in 2021 and 2022 that they would appreciate it if we could provide some sort of 401K benefit. Earlier this year, Accurate Home Care began offering a 401K match.
Our program applies to all full-time employees (averaging 30 or more hours a week) and to employees who have worked at least 1,000 hours in the last 12 months (great for part-time employees). New employees must work 360 hours in the first 90 days to be eligible.
Accurate’s match is 1%:2%. In other words, if an employee contributes 2 percent of her or his compensation into a 401K, Accurate will provide a 1 percent match. For employees who contribute less than 2 percent of their compensation into their 401Ks, Accurate provides between a half a percent and 1 percent match. The vesting schedule is only three years instead of the five years of traditional 401k matching programs.
