Newsweek has named Accurate Home Care (@AccurateHmCare) one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Mental Wellbeing in 2024. This recognition is based on reviews from more than 250,000 U.S. employees giving more than 1.5 million company reviews.
“Mental well-being is an increasingly important concern for U.S. workers—which means it’s increasingly important for U.S. employers as well. Initiatives promoting mental health are being integrated more and more into workplace policies…” says Newsweek’s Global Editor in Chief Nancy Cooper.
According to a survey of 2,515 employed adults released last year by the American Psychological Association, 92 percent of respondents said it is either very or somewhat important for a company to value their emotional and psychological well-being. But more than half of workers surveyed —55 percent—felt their employer thinks their workplace is “a lot mentally healthier” than it really is.
Newsweek gave Accurate a five-star rating out of five stars in the mental wellbeing category. “Being listed on this ranking is an honor and reflects our company’s commitment to employee well-being, which includes striving to ensure they have a healthy work/life balance and can quickly receive assistance and support when needed,” says Accurate President and CEO Bill English.
Accurate also was recognized by Newsweek in January for being one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity in 2024, and in February, for being one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women.
To spotlight the organizations prioritizing the mental well-being of their employees, Newsweek partnered with data researcher Plant-A for the inaugural ranking of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Mental Well-Being, which lists the top 750 U.S. employers making a positive difference in the mental wellness of their workers.
The ranking is based on an assessment of public data, feedback from HR executives at companies with more than 1,000 employees and an anonymized panel of HR professionals to identify employee-satisfaction drivers, and large-scale confidential online surveys of more than 250,000 employees working for U.S. companies. The latter provided more than 1.5 million company reviews collected in 2022 and 2023. A subsequent research phase conducted with business data specialist PrivCo examined seven key performance indicators related to mental well-being, including a range of corporate mental health programs and social media ratings of work-life balance.
