Accurate Home Care Enters the ILS Market

Accurate Home Care is excited to announce that we are entering the Independent Living Skills (ILS) market. Independent Living Skills (ILS) training helps individuals with a wide range of mental illnesses, disabilities, or chronic diseases. With ILS support, you or your loved one can remain as independent as possible at home and in the community. Our ILS Workers are well-trained, have passed a background check, and will be supervised occasionally in your home as they provide support in areas such as basic nutrition, managing finances, attending appointments, effective communication, transportation needs, and problem solving.

“We’re entering this market because so many of our current patient population receive these services, we thought it best to offer them a seamless experience from the same agency who also gives them EHN, PCA, Homemaking and/or Home Health services”, said Bill English, CEO. “We will start slow in a targeted area, but we plan to be a dominate player in this fragmented market. It will take us a couple of years to get to where we think we can be.”

Accurate plans to focus on Wright, Sherburn and Anoka counties as their initial “footprint” for ILS services. In the future, Accurate’s ILS plans calls for steady growth in their ILS patient census over the next five years in an expanding set of adjacent counties. “We do not plan to expand into other states, preferring to become the dominate ILS provider in Minnesota”, said English.

Accurate has hired an experienced ILS provider, Kate LaCroix, to head-up this new program.  Kate comes to Accurate with over 10 years of ILS experience and is well-positioned to be the right leader for this new service line.

Accurate Home Care is a $24M home care company headquartered in Otsego, MN with ~800 employees. You can learn more about this story and Accurate’s entrance into the home health business by calling their CEO, Bill English, at 763-795-3794.
