Staffing Open Shifts

Our top priority at Accurate Home Care is providing clients with every opportunity possible to keep them in the comfort of their own homes while receiving the healthcare that they need. We work very hard to recruit, hire, and retain top quality frontline caregivers and do everything in our power to keep the number of open shifts down, and the quality of care up.

Healthcare jobs are in the highest demand nationwide, and are projected to have more openings than staff to fill them. According to an article by the New York Times, by 2020, more than 1.3 million new paid caregivers will needed to meet the growing demand (click here to read the whole article). This shortage of caregivers can make staffing a challenge, especially in certain areas. However, we have and continue to make it a priority by looking into all possible strategies.

A Decade at Accurate

Heather GoblirschAccurate Home Care was started with the idea that people should come first. By making it a company where people are happy to work, it naturally becomes a place where clients can find genuine care and top quality service. Accurate prioritizes being a place where employees, regardless of title or position, can find a lasting, successful career.

Heather Goblirsch’s experience as an Accurate Home Care employee is a perfect example of the opportunity that can be found to advance one’s career here. Through hard work, drive, and loyalty to the company, Heather has experience in nearly all of the departments within the company. Her extensive knowledge of the various components that make up the company has given her an opportunity to continually grow professionally and build a successful career here.

In 2006, at the age of 16, Heather started working at Accurate Home Care as a PCA. The following year, she moved to an Office Support position. Shortly after moving into an office role, she began focusing more on medical records, and then moved into data entry of timecards. The company continued growing, and when the first offsite location was opened in St. Cloud, Heather transitioned to be the Patient Services Coordinator there. She was recognized as the Employee of the year in 2013, and in 2014 she became the North Regional Director, overseeing 3 offices in Minnesota. She recently transitioned into her current position as the Region Manager for Minnesota and North Dakota.

Working to Improve the Industry

A large part of improving the home healthcare experience for clients and employees alike is doing everything we can to make the industry better as a whole. We make it a priority to partner with legislators and other organizations to work towards continual improvement.

This week, our Founder and CEO, Amy Nelson and Director of Home Care Nursing, Megan White met with Representative Matt Dean at a client’s home to discuss what in-home healthcare means for families like theirs.

Kari, the mother of our client, Danna, talked about how much it means to have nurses who know exactly what her daughter needs. “We’re so fortunate to have nurses like DeAnn, who has been with us for a long time and knows Danna. I don’t have anything against hospital nurses, but anytime we’re there, we rush home to our nurses who know everything about Danna’s care.”
