Communication Care Center

"We take pride in the compassion and empathy that our Communication Care Center team members have for those going through the steps necessary to begin home care services." -Janet, AHC Admissions Manager

We recently named our Customer Service Department the Communication Care Center to emphasize the importance of consistent communication. They serve as the first point of contact for all callers, including the individuals calling to make a referral or to inquire about services for themselves or their loved one. Every phone call and fax is routed by this team, and they are able to represent each department in the organization.

As Accurate Home Care continued to grow in 2011 we wanted to ensure our clients and employees continued to receive the utmost customer service. As competitors answer their phone “hello” or have automated systems, we wanted to go above and beyond that and keep the small town company feel while continuing to provide our services to more individuals. This goal of providing an unsurpassed level of service in all aspects of the company led to the birth of our Customer Service Department.

National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day

Today, May 5th, 2016 is National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day. The SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) is holding a national event in Washington DC called “Finding Help, Finding Hope.” They are set to discuss how communities can offer more support for people of all ages experiencing mental or substance use disorders.

A big emphasis of the event is working together as communities to increase awareness of mental health barriers, and how to work as a team to help overcome them and promote openness. In addition to discussing ways to work together, a big focus is simply educating the public about mental health.

Administrative Professionals Day

The hard work of our administrative professionals makes it possible for Accurate Home Care to meet the high standard of service that our clients and employees have come to expect. The daily operations of our offices are dependent on the diligent work done by our administrative professionals. Although their work often is done behind the scenes, it does not go unnoticed, and everyone here at Accurate is extremely grateful for everything they do.

Although Administrative Professionals week (and more specifically day—Wednesday the 27th) is always a great opportunity to show our appreciation to these vital employees, we should remember to let them know how valued they are on a regular basis. Albeit our administrative professionals are some of our most important employees, they happened to also be some of our most selfless and humble workers.

“You dedicate your lives to helping others become and remain independent. Your work is incredible and you make a difference in our employees’, patients’, and families’ lives. Thank you again for your tireless efforts to not only get your job done to help our families and employees, but also your positivity and dedication to continuously improve our company for all of us.” –Founder and CEO, Amy Nelson.

Earth Day 2016

Earth Day

Today we had staff members from some of our offices outside celebrating Earth Day! Giving back and having a presence in the communities we serve has been at the core of what we do here at Accurate since we were founded in 2002. It is our goal to improve life for as many people as we can.

Today that included cleaning up local parks and walking paths by picking up trash, and helping the environment by placing recycling bins in our offices. Although less direct than the services we provide, we believe it is important to work towards making a lasting impression on all of the communities we are in, in a variety of ways!

Whether it’s recycling your cans and bottles or going the extra mile to pick up trash you see, we hope you’ll join us today, Earth Day 2016, and as often as possible to make this a better place for everyone!

Staffing Open Shifts

Our top priority at Accurate Home Care is providing clients with every opportunity possible to keep them in the comfort of their own homes while receiving the healthcare that they need. We work very hard to recruit, hire, and retain top quality frontline caregivers and do everything in our power to keep the number of open shifts down, and the quality of care up.

Healthcare jobs are in the highest demand nationwide, and are projected to have more openings than staff to fill them. According to an article by the New York Times, by 2020, more than 1.3 million new paid caregivers will needed to meet the growing demand (click here to read the whole article). This shortage of caregivers can make staffing a challenge, especially in certain areas. However, we have and continue to make it a priority by looking into all possible strategies.

A Decade at Accurate

Heather GoblirschAccurate Home Care was started with the idea that people should come first. By making it a company where people are happy to work, it naturally becomes a place where clients can find genuine care and top quality service. Accurate prioritizes being a place where employees, regardless of title or position, can find a lasting, successful career.

Heather Goblirsch’s experience as an Accurate Home Care employee is a perfect example of the opportunity that can be found to advance one’s career here. Through hard work, drive, and loyalty to the company, Heather has experience in nearly all of the departments within the company. Her extensive knowledge of the various components that make up the company has given her an opportunity to continually grow professionally and build a successful career here.

In 2006, at the age of 16, Heather started working at Accurate Home Care as a PCA. The following year, she moved to an Office Support position. Shortly after moving into an office role, she began focusing more on medical records, and then moved into data entry of timecards. The company continued growing, and when the first offsite location was opened in St. Cloud, Heather transitioned to be the Patient Services Coordinator there. She was recognized as the Employee of the year in 2013, and in 2014 she became the North Regional Director, overseeing 3 offices in Minnesota. She recently transitioned into her current position as the Region Manager for Minnesota and North Dakota.
